Fathers Day 2015

On this Fathers Day 2015, I am truly grateful for my father, Stephen Lamond, and his father, Lamond W. "Hap", and his father, William O. "W.O".
I am also especially grateful for my wife, Robyn--who made me a Father--and the four wonderful sons who call me "Father:"  Christian, Austin, Stephen, and Ryan!

Some pictures from recent events...

Some Events in 2014--Spring and Early Summer

Here are some snapshots from events in Spring and Early Summer

My birthday party, with Bennett and Dylan to help with the cake.
Dad/Grandpa Steve comes home after a grueling subdural hematoma surgery
on his skull, and a 1 week hospital stay!
Grandpa Steve has been so brave and tough this year! Hang in there!
Family Gathering in PV.  Grandpa Steve and Grandma Marion made touching remarks
about how much they love their family.
Grandma Marion has been doing a fantastic job this year,
helping Grandpa Steve recuperate and get stronger after his surgery.
Gathering at Greg/Jillair's to welcome home Nathan from his mission.
Family Gathering at Greg/Jillair's.
Erin holds baby Elizabeth while Greg welcomes all.

Baby Elizabeth (visiting with Erin from Beijing China) gets acquainted with Great Grandpa Steve).
At Nathan's homecoming, we  also celebrated the May 11 birthdays!
Stephen Davis, with his favorite birthday cake: Funfetti!

Family gathering Jeff & Robyn's.
Bennett and Dylan get some snuggles from Great Grandma Marion and Great Grandpa Steve.
Bennett and Dylan go for a hike with Grandpa Jeff at Whiting Ranch.
We discovered a toy bat in a hollow log!
Grandpa Jeff points out the toy bat we found.
It is part of a geocache game--we returned it to the hollow log hiding place.
Bennett and Dylan--train playtime with Grandma Robyn.
 A work "selfie."
Look at the little critter--a tarantula I found on the back patio.
It was twilight, and I sat on the patio with my bare feet near it. At first I I thought it was a leaf. Boy did I get a surprise when I turned the patio light on!
We let it go in the Wilderness next morning--behind our neighbor's house!
So far, no more visits.

What a great life with so many blessings from family, friends, and the Lord, we have.
XO, Jeff

Eric Nolan- a Married Man and a Happy Day

Eric Nolan and Mary Lozada tied the knot
in their much-anticipated wedding held on January 2, 2014.
Theirs was the first wedding performed in 2014 in the Newport Beach Temple.
Eric's excitement was contagious!  Robyn and I were super-excited to help them get launched: attending their wedding, post-wedding reception, opening gifts with family at our house, and helping them pack their newly purchased Subaru and wish them well as they drove back to BYU-Idaho, where Eric plans to finish his last semester before receiving his bachelors degree in accounting.

 Just Married!
Walking from temple to greet well wishers.
 The first of  many photos!
Eric and Mary, with some of Eric's nieces and nephews.
His sister-in-law made all the hair adornments and bow ties for them--too cute.
A quiet moment between photo poses.
Eric and Mary, with Eric's brothers and brothers-in-law.
Eric's Mom, Eric, Mary, and Mary's Mom

Seldom do two such choice people find each other--and our prayers and good wishes for a happy, joyous eternal marriage go to Eric and Mary.
We hope they come back to visit us as Mr. & Mrs.

Going on recently in at Jeff & Robyn's in Foothill Ranch

In November, as viewed from the "National Geographic" channel in our kitchen window,
a family of mule deer walked behind our house-
a fourth (buck) was with the group but not pictured here.
In December,Robyn and I went on a one-day shopping expedition in Palm Springs: goal, to buy new furniture for the 2nd bedroom in Mom & Dad's Palm Springs condo.
Here I am taking one of the few breaks allowed by Robyn.
The result: new lamps, headboard, bureau/TV stand, to go with the new bed and bedding picked out by Marion.
Robyn and I enjoyed a wedding and post-wedding luncheon of a friend/client, at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point.
A hug for my sweetheart
