Proud Parents Jeff and Robyn with Stephen Davis

We're so proud of Stephen Davis, who today was ordained an Elder! Stephen Davis will make a great Elder and missionary.

Son, Father, Grandfather

We had a special blessing today when Stephen Lamond Robinson conferred upon Stephen Davis Robinson (his grandson-namesake) the Melchizedek priesthood and ordained him to the office of Elder! Stephen Davis had worked hard for this and is very prepared! I am grateful to all those who love and support our family, and Stephen Davis in particular. Stephen Davis invited "Big Lars" (Erik Sr. Larsen), Ryan Webber, Bishop Schoessow, Uncle Greg, his friend Jared from BYU Idaho, Elders Rasmussen and Goodsell staying with us, and Eric Smith the High Counselor, all who joined us in the circle. Stephen Davis invited a even more to join us, but conflicts kept them away.

After Stephen Davis was ordained to the office of Elder by his Grandpa Steve, he had a great big hug for Grandma Marion and Grandpa Steve.

Stephen is so excited to be ordained an "Elder," with the two missionaries living with us: Elder Goodsell and Elder Rasmussen.

My Favorite Flower Girl

Robyn had a dream about flowers like these for Easter. Robyn picked out the flowers the next day. Moral of the story: Robyn is a dream come true.

Robyn "The Easter Bunny" Was Here

These baskets greeted Ryan, Stephen, Elder Rasmussen, Elder Bills and me this morning, thanks to Robyn.

Blooming Yuccas On The Hill

The native yucca plants are in bloom this spring.

Gathering for our Easter Meal

I know these are out of order, but a request was made for pictures of some who joined us for Easter last week.

Another Robyn Feast--This One For Easter

Robyn organized a wonder Easter meal, including baked salmon, grilled filet mignon, grilled asparagus, zucchini, peppers and sweet potato fries; plus fresh strawberries & pineapple, and special baked new potatoes. Grandpa Steve & Marion, and Greg and Jilliar all contributed. Best of all, we were able to join around the table for a family Easter celebration.

Huffing and Puffing at "52 Candles"

Thanks to family for a wonderful early birthday celebration, and to Mom for a double chocolate cake!

Am I greater than you? Or Vice Versa? Only my Tee shirt knows for sure!

Elder Bills: World's Smallest Handwriting

I tease Elder Bills about his microscopic handwriting. Here he demonstrates that, even with use of a powerful magnifying glass, trying to read his journal can still cause premature blindness.

Elder Rasmussen demonstrates how to stay "in tune" with the spirit.

Triple Threat

Great cousins think alike. Megan & Amanda Richins and Ryan take a break from pool at Grandpa Steve & Grandma Marion's in Palos Verdes. Nathan was there earlier and we're sorry we missed his picture!

Happy Son & Parents

Here's a happy son with his arms around his parents! Thanks for being wonderful, Mom & Dad. You can tell from this photo, heavenly father created me from a nice blend of each of you!

Beast of Burden

Princess has inherited our late dog "Happy's" saddlebag-pack. She loves to trot along carrying her own water bottles. Cesar Milan, the National Geographic Channel's "Dog Whisperer," says that asking a dog to carry a backpack adds an extra "job" and helps the dog use its energy constructively. Main advantage, other hikers on the trail say "Oh how cute!" and "Good Boy!" as Princess trots by. What they're really thinking, probably, is "look at that cruel, lazy man--he's making the dog carry the entire load!" Happy-dog was a foot taller than Princess--maybe we'll have to get her a smaller size pack so the bags don't touch the ground as she walks!

Old Pipeline, Hiker and Man's Best Friend

Not sure which is older, the rusty pipeline that crossed the creekside bluff along El Toro Road, or me. That's Princess, who enjoyed her role as the pack mule for our 3.5 mile hike on Saturday, 8 March.

Neighborhood Hike

Stephen Davis and I took a 3.5 mile hike along the El Toro trail. The wildflowers were out (probably the only week of the year!).

"Coyote Ugly" on the National Geographic Channel

Here's a shot of a coyote taken from our kitchen window looking just beyond our backyard fence. With all the wildlife that comes and goes during the day, we call this view out the window our "National Geographic Channel." About this time last year, a coyote mother raised her pups in a den about 50 yards from where this picture was taken. We could hear the pups whining and whelping excitedly at mealtime. When the pups got older, one would lay out on the hill and sun himself, driving our dog Princess crazy!
